I used to be stumped by the idea that everythings been done before but it becomes much more comforting when you realize context can give something a completely new meaning. It’s all been done before but if you can communicate how YOU would do it, you can still make something “new”.
Exactly this!! Leaning in on your own experiences, perspectives and contexts can let you create something “new”, even if it lives adjacent to something created before that. All about perspective.

The sad part is that the algorithm rewards those that copy which continues the loop- iterations of the same speak like a visual SEO, which I think discourages breaking away from the same trends.
THIS!!! It’s so true. I don’t blame us all for adopting the copycat culture when the algorithms are so blatantly rewarding people for doing so. Especially if you have a business etc. but I feel like we’re on the brink of a big crisis. We need to bring our uniqueness back.
We do! Otherwise the content fatigue is only going to get worse 🫠 Hopefully with whispers of AI being the death of SEO, algs will have to rejig but if they don't I don't really know how we're going to escape the trends / mimicry
